Help me pick my next best toffee flavor! People went “nuts” over my original toffee. They said my next batch was “bacon” them crazy. I need some help with new ideas and taste testing. This will be a limited supply, so sign up quickly for the first round. [Read more…]
I had a great time being part of the Midwest Regional Beer, Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Festival. I got to meet some great new people and even sample some other cheese and chocolate products ( I left the beer and wine samples to mom and dad). After meeting a lot of new people I was very happy that everyone loved my toffee. Thanks to everyone that came and saw me and I look forward to seeing you next year.
PS – They even mentioned me on Facebook AND I won people’s choice for the chocolate category. =)
I had a great time at KOLR – Ozarks Live! this weekend with Mr. Tom and Ms. Shannon. I was a bit nervous before I went on the show. After getting my table all setup, I had a lot of time to do nothing in the “Green Room” (which was actually yellow). Once I was on camera, I felt much better. Both of the hosts were very polite and easy to talk to. I hope I get to go back soon. Please watch my video and let me know what you think.
Christmas time always makes me smile. I love the look on people’s faces when they try my toffee. It makes them smile that much more. This Christmas I went to lots of different businesses and offered to make them toffee for Christmas presents. It was a lot of work but well worth it. I spent the whole day on the 18th delivering toffee all over Hermann.
I sure love when my “Aunt” Christa comes to visit. She has been a friend of the family for a long time and she loves to visit Hermann Missouri, especially during Maifest. She also loves my toffee. This is a picture of us a long time ago. Wasn’t I cute? 😉 I can’t wait to see her again. Here is what she had to say about her toffee order …
Received my Toffee on the Run order this week. Not only did it arrive with beautiful packaging- the handwritten note of thanks from Julie was a very nice touch. Can’t wait to give the Toffee out to my Friends and Family for Christmas!! – on Facebook
My dad was going on a mission trip and I wanted to help. I thought about giving him the $100 I got for Christmas, but my aunt had a better idea. She suggested that I make and sell toffee and don’t tell him what I’m raising the money for. He was so surprised!!! Check out the article on County News Live to see his face. The title is “Hermann girl has raised more than $1,000 by making and selling toffee to help pay for her Dad’s mission to Africa”
Update: County News Live is receiving a make over. Come back to see the updated link.
